Power of attorney Notarisation for Albania

To legalize a Power of Attorney document for use in Albania with an apostille in the UK, you would need to follow the steps outlined below:
  1. Draft the Power of Attorney document: Create the Power of Attorney document, ensuring it complies with the requirements and includes all necessary details as per Albanian law. The document should clearly state the powers granted to the agent and be signed by the principal in the presence of witnesses.
  2. Notarise the document: Take the Power of Attorney document to a licensed notary public in the UK. The notary public will verify the identity of the principal and witnesses, and witness the signing of the document. They may also affix their seal or stamp to the document.
  3. Obtain an apostille: Once the Power of Attorney document is notarised, you will need to obtain an apostille. An apostille is an official certificate that verifies the authenticity of the notary public's signature and seal. In the UK, the competent authority for issuing apostilles is the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO).We have two services for the Apostille, the same day service and the standard service.
Once the Power of Attorney document has been apostilled and authenticated, it should be recognised as legally valid in Albania. You can then use the document for the authorised purposes outlined in the Power of Attorney. It's important to note that the process and requirements for document legalisation may vary over time and depend on the specific country's regulations. Therefore, it's advisable to consult with a legal professional or the relevant authorities in the UK and Albania for the most up-to-date and accurate information.
